Carlos Ramirez obtained his Bachelors of Art degree from the University of South Florida in 1985. He later obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from William Mitchell College of Law in1989. Carlos Ramirez was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1989. Carlos is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association and the prestige's Family Law Inns of Court for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. Carlos is admitted to practice in all Florida County and Circuit Courts, all Florida Appellate District Courts, the Florida Supreme Court, the United States Supreme Court, and the United States Middle District of Florida.
Carlos Ramirez has practiced law since 1989, specializing in the areas of Family and Marital law. His practice includes divorce representation as well as child support enforcement, alimony enforcement, dependency defense, termination of parental rights and domestic violence injunctions. He founded the family law practice for the law Firm of Escobar, Ramirez & Associates, P.A. Carlos has been recognized by his peers for his excellence in the practice of family law. In 1994, Carlos was appointed by former Chief Judge Dennis Alvarez to serve as a child Support Enforcement hearing Officer. He was also appointed to serve on the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Executive Council, Family law Section, for the last three years. In an effort to assist in improvement of the practice of family law in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. Carlos was also asked to serve on the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Committee for development of the Model Dependency Program. He also served with the General Master Interview & Selection Committee in 2001. In 2004, Mr. Ramirez also served in the 13th Judicial Circuit Selection Committee for Contract Dependency Attorneys.
Carlos Ramirez was born in Bogota, Colombia and is married with two children. Carlos enjoys international sport fishing and competes internationally in bill fishing tournaments throughout the world. He is a University of South Florida Alumni Association and currently a member of the Krewe of the Knights of Sant' Yago.
