Frances Martinez joined Escobar, Ramirez, and Associates, P.A. in 2008 as an associate in the Criminal Defense group, where she focuses primarily on appeals and post-conviction motions. Prior to joining Escobar Ramirez, Frances worked as a staff attorney for the Honorable Anthony K. Black, Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, where she gained invaluable research and writing experience and insight into the judicial process.
Frances received her B.A. in Communications from Loyola University New Orleans in 2002. While at Loyola, Frances studied abroad in London, England and Granada, Spain. Frances earned her J.D. from Loyola University School of Law, where she competed as both an oralist and briefwriter in the 13th Annual Duberstein Moot Court Competition and served as the Selection Committee Chair of the Loyola University Moot Court Program.
Frances was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Tampa, Florida, where she attended Academy of the Holy Names. She is fluent in Spanish.
