How To Contact An Inmate In Polk County Jail

It can be difficult to contact an inmate in Polk County Jail without the proper resources. Our lawyers at Escobar, Michaels & Associates have created this list to help you find inmate information, visitation guidelines and email policies.

To begin an inmate search: Click this link to reach the Polk County jail information page.

To learn about the Polk County video visitation policy: Read the instructions on this page. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PSCO) Department of Detention no longer allows contact visitation with inmates. However, the department does allow family and friends to communicate with inmates using its video system.

The PSCO jail visitation page contains detailed information about visitation hours, dress code and required identification. You will need to schedule your appointment and can do so using the link on the visitation page.

To communicate via email: Review the PCSO detention page. The Department of Detention does not allow inmates to receive postal mail unless it is legal mail. If you send a letter through the post office, the department will scan it and email it to your loved one. You can create an email account with Smart Jail Mail to reach a loved one online.

To speak with an inmate by phone: You will need to set up a collect-calling account with Securus Technologies. Reach the company using this link or call 1-800-844-6591.
