A Florida rapper was recently sentenced for two counts of bank robbery with assault, as well as two counts of using a firearm during a crime of violence. The man, who robbed two banks for a total of $32,000 in 2013, received a 35-year prison sentence in federal court.
A Florida woman received a criminal charge of murder after one man shot another during a robbery attempt. The woman and a 23-year-old man met a month prior to the incident and eventually made another date to meet. The man arrived at the address, but, instead of a date, he was met by three men who allegedly attempted to rob him.
On Oct. 2, a 32-year-old homeless woman was accused of armed robbery and attempted robbery in Florida. A man was arrested based on allegations that he may have been her accomplice. He faces charges of conspiracy to commit robbery and accessory after the fact.
A Florida man was arrested after he attempted to rob a church in baggy pants. The 31-year-old man, who had been praying in the sanctuary of the church near Walt Disney World, allegedly attempted to steal the cash drawer from the church's gift shop. Though the amount of money that was taken was not released, church officials say that their gift shop is the largest in the southeastern U.S.
U. S. Marshals tracked an alleged bank robber to southern Florida and apprehended him on Sept 9. The man has been accused of committing one bank robbery and suspected in two others in the state of Florida. He is currently in custody and awaiting formal charges.
